Medicine and Intensive Care for Horses

Our Equine Hospital, situated at our Anstead facility, offers a comprehensive range of services in a dedicated environment. We have 10 intensive care stables, including two dedicated isolation stables located separate to the main intensive care barn. Intensive care stables are equipped for continuous intravenous fluid therapy, and are fully monitored via CCTV. Dedicated on-call veterinarians are able to attend within 5 minutes to address any changes in patient status that necessitate immediate attention. We have dedicated foal boxes, enabling us to treat and manage sick and recumbent foals in a safe environment whist allowing the mare to remain bonded to her foal. Our facility is equipped with a hoist and slings for selected large animal patients that may require assisted recumbency care. In addition to our intensive case stables, our hospital also has an additional 14 stables to house non-intensive patients. Eight turnout yards are available, including two which may house mare and foals, and two which are dedicated to higher biosecurity patients.
