Established in 1999, WestVETS Anstead is the founding home of WestVETS and has grown to become one of Queensland's leading veterinary hospitals. Conveniently located in Brisbane's western suburbs, Anstead provides comprehensive veterinary care for both companion animals and horses, serving clients from Brisbane, Ipswich, the Scenic Rim and surrounding regions.

As home to one of the region's most comprehensive equine hospitals, alongside a fully equipped small animal hospital, clients have access to everything from routine preventative care and ambulatory services through to advanced diagnostics, specialist surgery, intensive care, hospitalisation and emergency treatment. Our dedicated equine hospital supports horses at every stage of life, from routine health care and performance horse management through to complex medical and surgical cases. With have two board-certified Equine Surgeons and one board-certified internal medicine specialists combined with experienced equine veterinarians to provide specialist care from parturition to geriatric care. Our veterinarians are equipped to handle both high-performance athletes to senior citizens. Combined with our experienced ambulatory team, WestVETS Anstead provides seamless veterinary support both on-farm and within the hospital environment.

Paula and Ola saved my little lambs life! He had a ruptured bladder in the middle of the night and they managed to stabilise him and perform life saving surgery to allow a catheter to help him wee through this until he passed the other stones! They are extremely experienced, kind, supportive and I genuinely believe their love for animals gives these animals hope and something to push for! They let me visit whenever I wanted were extremely knowledgeable and generous with their advice and time!
