Veterinary Nursing & Veterinary Technician Opportunities

Small Animal * Equine * Mixed Practice

WestVETS Animal Hospitals is a friendly, community-focused mixed practice delivering gold-standard veterinary care to both small and large animals across two modern, purpose-built facilities.

Our Anstead practice is home to a specialist referral equine hospital with a dedicated small animal clinic, while our Marburg practice combines a busy small animal clinic with a leading equine reproduction centre. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of medicine and surgery, including advanced orthopaedic procedures and complex medical cases.

The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Technicians to join our team at both Anstead and Marburg.

Positions available:

Casual nursing roles across all departments
Hours are Monday- Friday, with required participation in a rotating Saturday roster
On-call availability for equine surgical team

About You

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

Minimum Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician qualifications
Previous experience in either a Small Animal, Equine, or Mixed-Practice veterinary clinic
Passionate about maintaining a high standard of patient care and supporting team wellbeing
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A collaborative team approach with the ability to work independently when required
Experience with using Vision VPM software and working with an in-house IDEXX lab is preferred but not essential
