WestVETS offers a house call service for your family pet
We understand that in our modern busy lives, getting your pet to the vet can be difficult. House calls for pets have made resurgence in recent years offering flexibility and convenience. Sometimes it is just the hassle of dealing with multiple pets all at once, or the challenge of ferrying the kids and the pets in one go. For some pets, the whole experience can be quite stressful and they are just calmer in their home environment.
We have a fleet of 8 vehicles that can bring one of our friendly and capable vets to you, where we can conduct a range of services in the comfort of your own home. If need be, we can also transport your pet to one of our two fully equipped and registered Small Animal Veterinary Hospitals for treatment, more advanced diagnostics or procedures.
Health Checks including but not limited to:
Yearly Heartworm injections
Patient transport to and from our hospital

Why use WestVETS Small Animal Hospitals
Decades of experience – both our small animal hospitals are backed up with experienced Small Animal dedicated veterinarians. Between both hospitals we have 6 Small Animal Veterinarians each with experience ranging from 15 to 51 years of clinical experience.
Fully equipped Small Animal Hospitals – Our Small Animal hospitals are well equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment. Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, comprehensive in-house laboratory, multi-parameter anaesthetic monitors and Tonometer.
Overnight Monitoring – Conventional veterinary practices often do not have any and are not required to have overnight monitoring of patients. Depending on individual patient requirements, those patients which require more intensive monitoring can have periodic checks arranged at our Anstead Veterinary Hospital*.
Afterhours Service – WestVETS is one of the few metropolitan Veterinary practices which still have a vet on duty for afterhours emergencies. We routinely have two vets on call each night, one for each of our hospitals.
Privately owned – WestVETS is not a corporate veterinary group or franchise. Our vets are not set financial targets or paid on commission. The owners work in the hospital and on the road alongside our dedicated staff where good patient outcomes are our primary objective.
Convenient Payment Options – payment can be arranged through our mobile eftpos, VetPay or Zip Pay.
*There may be occasions where the severity of a patient’s condition warrants transfer to a specialist emergency and critical care facility.
